The science behind this may very well be garbage for all I know, but I enjoyed this Good Magazine article on how plants can reduce levels of toxic chemicals in your home:



While we're on the topic of things that reduce toxins, the wonderful "Blog" of Unnecessary Quotes absoluted bogarted an idea I had about 5 years ago (before blogs were big!) to make a web site housed at UnnecessaryQuotes.com. I swear this is true, though I am sure that these fine quotation-usage defenders came up with the idea independently. My lead image was going to be from a bar in Providence that had a sign reading:

You Must Be "21" To Enter

I always assumed that this meant that they allowed fake identification.
